The DEA Interim Final Rules for enforcing the 2018 Farm Bill – which legalized hemp – may end up in all hemp farmers and processors being arrested for marijuana.

This interim final rule amends the definition of marihuana extract to conform to
the revised definitions of marihuana and tetrahydrocannabinols. This revised definition
now includes the 0.3%-THC content limit for the extract, meaning hemp-derived extracts
containing less than 0.3%-THC content are also decontrolled along with the plant itself.
